RN Nurse Residency Program November 2019 Cohort: Talent Acquisition Center

Summary:
Provides direct patient care in an area designated as a specialty unit in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.
Please indicate your top three track selections (view choices on nurse residency website).
Provide your GPA accompanied by unofficial transcripts (scanned with the application).
Include your previous employment history: organization, dates, job title, and responsibilities.
Include any/all volunteer work: name of organization, role, and responsibilities.
Describe any leadership roles in work, school or service organization; honors & awards.
Be sure to include all of your academic clinical experiences: institution name, unit, dates and brief descriptions of care provided and competencies performed.
Submit two (2) professional letters of recommendation, one of which can be from a clinical faculty member. For internal candidates one recommendation must come from your current manager.

Detailed responsibilities:
• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. Monitors, documents, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including disposition, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires.
