About This Job
Summary:
Assists patients with menu selections and meal service based on the physician-ordered diet parameters.
Detailed responsibilities:
• Receives and responds to phone calls regarding patient and guest meal orders. Maintains and documents food preferences, diet orders and food allergies.
• Helps patients to make menu selections that comply with their dietary requirements and restrictions.
• Ensures that patient meal process is completed in accordance with time expectations.
• Assists with patient/guest satisfaction initiatives. Resolves, refers, and/or reports service quality issues as appropriate.
• Assembles patient meal trays based on menu selections made in compliance with the patients dietary requirements and restrictions.
• Collaborates with assigned nursing units to enhance the patient experience.
