Summary:
Provides financial analysis and prepares internal and external financial reports by compiling information and utilizing appropriate accounting policies and procedures.

 

Detailed responsibilities:
• Performs monthly close of assigned entities. Ensures all balance sheet accounts are reconciled and supported with proper documentation. Assists in the preparation of the assigned entities annual operating budget.
• Responds to requests for analysis and provides analytical support to the Finance management team. Discusses departmental statements with department heads and investigates any material variances.
• Produces and manages financial reporting packages and corresponding analysis, which may include accounts like accounts receivable, revenue, cash, or other complex areas.
• Assists with monthly ad-hoc financial analysis and provides customer support as requested.
• Assists Controller in the preparation of annual audited financial statements in conjunction with outside auditors and preparation of other required annual reports.

• ACCOUNTING – VARIANCE ANALYSIS: Provides accurate and detailed explanations of actual versus budget variances.
• FINANCIAL ANALYSIS: Uses financial data to evaluate the organization’s financial performance.
• RESEARCH – REPORTING: Prepares and reports research findings.
• ACCURACY: Completes work assignments within established quality and/or quantity standards.
• DEVELOPING RELATIONSHIPS: Builds positive and productive business relationships with individuals and groups.
• EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION: Communicates effectively with various audiences using the most appropriate method for the situation.
