Description:
3 East is the designated Congestive Heart Failure unit and we also care for a wide variety of other medically acute patients. Our team works collaboratively to ensure the best possible patient experience.

Description:
We are a 24-bed Med/Surg/Telemetry unit with a dual status on this unit; inpatient or observation. We provide care for a multitude of acute and chronic illnesses along with the education to help them manage their chronic conditions at home and prevent readmission to the hospital.

Description:
3 West consists of twenty-one beds, and mainly specializes in the care of patients with acute strokes or neuro deficits. Along with this specialty comes a team of highly trained and compassionate nurses who all work together to meet one common goal: patient and family care satisfaction. Our 3 West family focuses on high quality care and patient interaction.

Description:
This unit cares for patients who have been admitted following a stroke or a suspected stroke.

4 South Medical/Surgical Unit

Description:
We have a total of 36 beds caring for the adult population with mix of medical and surgical. We specialize in general surgeries, gynecology, maxillofacial and orthopedics. Remote telemetry monitoring is available throughout the unit.

4 South – Memorial Medical Detoxification Program

Description:
The Medical Stabilization program at Memorial Hospital Pembroke offers inpatient medical treatment for the management of withdrawal symptoms related to dependence of alcohol, benzodiazepines, and opiates. This inpatient program provides individualized care that focuses on compassion, medical intervention, and discharge support to help patients through their first steps of breaking the cycle of addiction. Another area of focus is on the sickle cell population. We utilize a specialized, comprehensive protocol to help streamline their care and manage their disease.

Description:
Our population consists of patients with complex medical/surgical and telemetry needs. We also care for a very unique patient population: Cystic Fibrosis patients. We take pride in having one of the highest employee engagement survey scores!
Description:
Specializing in post-operative bariatric surgical patients. Patients with gastrointestinal and genitourinary disorders have priority admission to this unit.

Description:
This is a community of caring and compassionate nurses who care for acutely ill adult patients with a wide variety of disease processes and surgical recoveries. The unit is foundational for building clinical and critical thinking skills.

Description:
This is a 28-bed unit for inpatient or observation patients. Most patients are placed on telemetry and require continuous monitoring. The patients are admitted with various medical diagnoses (chest pain, uncontrolled diabetes, hypertension, congestive heart failure, Baker Act and elopement risk patients).

5 South Medical Telemetry /Observation Unit

Description:
Fast-paced unit that admits almost every diagnosis in caring for patients in observation status. The patient population consists of adult and geriatric patients. The patients are placed in the unit according to acuity and patient mix. Patients may be direct admissions, emergency room patients, transfers from other units, or transfers from other institutions.

5 West Orthopedics/Joint Replacement Center

Description:
In addition to nursing care provided for the general medical/surgical population, we also provide specialized care for joint replacement, with emphasis placed on hip and knee replacement surgery. We also care for all acute orthopedic related conditions.

6 Central Medical/Telemetry

Description:
Our enthusiastic team cares for acute patients requiring telemetry monitoring. We provide care to adults with a variety of medical diagnoses to include Sickle Cell Disease. Our unit provides a foundation for building clinical and critical thinking skills.

6 West Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Unit

Description:
This unit cares for medical patients with abdomen pain (to rule out GI disturbance, dehydration, nausea), pneumonia, upper respiratory infections, and cardiac (to rule out cardiac disease, hypertension) and chest pain. This unit hosts Graduate Medical Education residents.

7 Central ACE/Orthopaedics/Surgery/Trauma

Description:
We are a 45-bed unit catering to the Acute Care of the Elderly, general surgical, GYN surgical, Bariatric Surgical Center of Excellence, orthopedic surgical, trauma unit. Nurses have a tremendous opportunity to learn and enhance new skills.

7 Central Medical/Surgical Unit

Description:
This is a 36 private bed, telemetry/cardiovascular inpatient unit. Our population comprises patients with cardiovascular disease, post cardiac catheterization care and heart failure.

7 West IMCU/Interventional Cardiac Telemetry

Description
This unit features 40 beds, including 24 IMCU beds and 16 telemetry. Patient population requires a high level of skilled nursing care.

Description
PCU is a fast paced, high acuity unit that focuses providing high quality patient-family centered care while fostering an environment of teamwork and physician collaboration.

2 East/2 North Medical/Telemetry Observation Unit

Description
We are a 48-bed specialized observation unit that is protocol driven. We care for patients with a variety of disease processes including chest pain, COPD exacerbation/asthma, anemia, electrolyte imbalance, hyperglycemia, renal colic, syncope, vertigo, allergic reaction, etc. Our goal is to provide safe, streamlined care that yields a 24 hour turnaround time with the disposition to a “home” or “inpatient” status depending on the outcome of the chief complaint.

Description
5 South is a 21 bed telemetry unit that specializes in the care of the post-operative patient. The nurses on this unit are highly specialized in the prevention of surgical site infections, care for patients undergoing various surgical procedures, and optimizing patients health pre and post-surgery. The nursing team collaborates with our perioperative teams and surgeons to provide a seamless recovery and ease the patient into transitioning home. Our focus is pain management, early mobility, and patient satisfaction.
